When you shop for a big flower pot, "18 inch", "24 inch" and "30 inch" sound clear, but they do not always mean the same thing. On tall pots the inch number is the height; on wide bowls it is the diameter. This guide puts our big-size pots side by side, using the dimensions from our own listings, so you can choose with confidence.

The one rule to remember
- Tall pots (Tokyo, Matrix, Qutub): the inch size is the pot's height.

Which size suits you?
- 18 inch: a compact statement pot for a balcony corner or beside a sofa.
- 24 inch: the in-between height that works at an entrance or on a terrace.

On our tall pots (Tokyo, Matrix and Qutub), 18 inch is the height. On our Lotus Bowl, 18 inch is the width across the top: 45.7 cm wide and 19 cm high.
